ME AGAIN!

I think enough time has passed that I can write this blog with almost no one tuning in to see. Journal writing is a nice pasttime, but typing is so much easier and there is the excitement that one feels when one gets to see their words on the big screen. The big computer screen. So, I shall go forward, feeling somewhat liberated and unwatched.

Life for the most part has been grand here in ol' Bloomington, Indiana. The summer is in full swing. I think we got the last of our rain the other day. It has been mercifully wet this summer, or so says my lawn. Last summer burned an entire half of my front lawn and this year it is regrouping. I used to think that only grass would make your lawn green. Oh no. It is any variety of plants that pop up out of nowhere. Truly, I am a big fan of nature. Can't imagine going back to the prickly stoicism of the Arizona desert-scape. For the humble amount of work I do, my yard has made great strides in balancing out and leveling. It helps that I don't have two dogs digging the shit out of it. And then pooping it back in. I'm hopeful that in two years I'll have one of those really nice lawns. I don't water it. I do subscribe to the idea that lawns in and of themselves are a waste of natural resources. But if I mow it and leave it alone, I'm happy to have grow whatever will.

Natasha and I have planted two sizeable gardens and they're both a revelation. We have tremendous broccoli plants growing and our NINE tomato plants are all doing great. Yep, went a bit over on the tomatoes there. No doubt. But we've got carrots and eggplants and squash and basil and all sorts of stuff. I really need to do some weeding. I laid some straw down for soil conservation and I think I succeeded in plant a lot of seeds. Always things to tuck away for next year.

The Primrose Cottage has gone under major clearing house efforts and as a result is so much more open. I also just took back my DVR thingy and no longer have television. Just my TV and DVD player. And all eleven seasons of MST3K. I'm hoping to read more and listen to more radio. I found my AM and FM antennae and rearranged my stereo so the sound flushes the entirety of the house which is totally killer. Things make a lot more sense now. I feel better and think a lot more can get done. I am going to say goodbye to this cruel world for about two weeks in the middle of August when it's nice and cool (not) and perhaps get a lot of interior painting done. I am not committed to this idea just quite yet, but it may happen. What definitely WILL happen, however, is repainting of the floors. They're looking a bit like crap. And all the trim. God what a pain. If I ever get a lot of money, I'm redoing the entire inside of my house so ALL THE CORNERS MATCH, there are no uneven parts in the drywall and it looks solid and well made. It is my lot in life to take on the hodge podge.

Well, as in all online journals, I have only stated the most mundane. Don't expect any different. May continue more in the future. Maybe not. Pictures soon to follow????
